About
The Delaware Environmental Observing System (DEOS) website is operated by the Center for Environmental Monitoring and Analysis (CEMA), which serves as Delaware's official repository for real-time weather and climate data.
One of the main features of the DEOS website is providing access to real-time and historical environmental data collected from the DEOS network. This network consists of more than 100 real-time environmental monitoring platforms that measure various meteorological and hydrological parameters throughout Delaware and the surrounding region. In addition to data from the DEOS Network, the DEOS website also integrates observations from more than 200 additional real-time environmental monitoring platforms. This results in a website that provides the state with a “one-stop shop” for all real-time, environmental data relevant to Delaware.
Beyond data access, CEMA has developed numerous applications that leverage these observations in order to improve weather forecasting, support emergency management, improve agricultural water management, and provide public-facing environmental services that benefit communities and decision-makers across multiple sectors.
